Here's info on the last place you can trail ride by yourself without a guide if you want to! There are rivers to cross, lots of wildlife, and I really love going out at night (no dust, no flies, & it is very quiet!). Only the night trail rides have guides.
There are other, more expensive "guided-only" riding stables in Southern California, but you'll be riding with other strangers, and most of their guides will only let you walk along slowly. BORRRING!!! lol
Happy trails!

Yes, but you might want to check via phone first because as with all of these places, this type of business is in danger of becoming extinct very soon. Sadly, there are too many rules and insurance requirements getting harder and more expensive to maintain this unique type of riding experience. This place has night horseback riding too - by reservation... California trail
Trail riding is great fun, equally for horse and rider. As long as your horse is dependable and healthy he will thank you for taking him out on trails. A lot of show horses are routinely taken on trail rides so they don't get bored with riding in an arena.
