Well, Georgia gold in 1829 was discovered. It was discovered by the whites when Andrew Jackson was the president and has forced Cherokee and many other tribes west. He moved them west because of there land and needed to start farming. The Indians agreed and signed a treetty but of course the whites always went against there treaties and primsed Native Americans in general they could keep there land. But instead either whites forced them out or killed them for the land and a famous quote was said..." What treety has white man given us ( native Americans) that they kept and promised?, Not one..And what treety has the Native Americans broke with the white man. Not one"

Dahlonega Gold was discovered in Georgia.
Out of greed for gold, that was found on Cherokee land in Georgia. The gold was first discovered sometime around 1827-1829 (it is unknown when gold was discovered). ALthough the Cherokee people-that lived in Georgia, had said that they had known about the gold since the 1600's. Research the topic-trail of tears, and then you'll find all the information you need. A very tragic story of what the Cherokee people went through.
In 1829, gold was discovered in Dahlonega, Georgia, marking the start of the Georgia Gold Rush. This discovery attracted thousands of prospectors and miners to the area, leading to a significant influx of settlers. The gold rush also intensified tensions between the U.S. government and the Cherokee Nation, culminating in the forced removal of the Cherokee people from their ancestral lands in the 1830s. Dahlonega subsequently became a key site in the history of American gold mining.
