Bulgaria
Bulgaria joined the Central Powers in order to conquer territories that it had lost to Serbia and Greece during the Second Balkan War. Joining the Central Powers also strengthened its ties to its two biggest economic partners, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire.
Many immigrant groups in the United States supported the Central Powers in World War I.
Bulgaria
Russia supported Serbia first, then when Germany entered the war (on the side of Austria-Hungary--the Central Powers), France and Britain joined in as well (on the side of Serbia--The Allies). Bulgaria joined in later (Central Powers), as did Italy (Allies). As it became truly a world war, Japan and the United States joined (part of the Allies), and so did the Ottoman Empire (Central Powers), and several other countries such as Portugal, Romania, etc. on the Allied side.
The Allied Powers
during WW1 it was basically the central powers vs. the allied powers. the central powers were GGermany, Austria-Hungary, and their allies, BBulgaria, and the ottoman empire. while the allied powers were the U.S., great Britain, France.
Belgium
The Central Powers during World War I primarily included Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria. A notable country that was not part of the Central Powers is Italy, which initially had a military alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary but later joined the Allies in 1915.
