Mexican constitution
Independence.
One of the old battles
Santa Anna didn't enforce the Mexican Constitution of 1824. That Constitution Texas supported. So of course, it angered Texans and tensions grew between Texans and the Mexican government and finally after all options failed, Texans resorted to war.
The Battle of the Alamo was fight by 190-250 Texan troops against about 1,800 of General Santa Anna's Mexican troops. Santa Anna wanted to punish the Texans for defying his government. The Texans wanted independence and liberty from Santa Anna's centralist government.
The Battle of San Jacinto lasted only 18 minutes. Although the Texans were outnumbered, they killed 630 Mexicans and captured 700 more. The next day, they captured Santa Anna, forcing him to sign a treaty granting Texas independence.

The Texans were defeated by Santa Anna at the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
The Texan army set up for battle there to suprise the Santa Anna army.
There were only two major problems that got in the Texans' way when they had finally gained their independence. The first reason is that Mexico refused to accept the treaty Santa Anna had signed to give Texas independence. The second reason was that Texas was technically bankrupt. An extra reason was that the Comanches and other Indian groups were threatening to attack some of the smaller Texan communities.
Texas did not win at the Alamo they had already declared independence the Alamo was just a battle. They won independence by defeating Mexico at the battle of San jacinto where they captured Santa Anna
Santa Anna attacked the Texans because he wanted the land for Mexico. He had started the Mexican revolution and wanted to expand the country.
Well at First Texans thought of Santa Anna as sly and clever. After this, they thought of Santa Anna as Cruel. This caused the "Runaway Scrape"
