The populations are not comparable. Egypt has more than 25,000 times as many people. The small city-state of Monaco has a population of only about 32,000 to 33,000 permanent residents, fewer than even the number of visiting tourists. Egypt has 82 million inhabitants, 18 million in the area around Cairo alone. In urban density, Cairo is 37,000 per km2 compared to Monaco's 17,000 per km2. (more than twice as high)
