Which is better China or Japan?

Japan is richer than China in general. If you consider the population in China, & average it out. Not many of them are rich. China has a big contrast between the small percentage of super rich & majority of them (not including Hong Kong in this case) are still lower class. Where as 90% of Japanese are middle class. Therefore, the crime rate is much lower in Japan. But thats another answer.

They are actually two different people groups. They may look similar but they are not from the same ancestral groups or cultures. China is larger than the United States and they have millions more people than both Japan and the US. Japan is on a small island with other smaller islands. There are millions who live there too but not nearly as much as China. Their cultures, believe systems, values, art, foods, clothing and religions are vastly different. The Japanese enjoy a democratic government while the Chinese are (oppressed) governed under a communist regime. China has vast types of geographical features while Japan's features are limited as well as their climate. The only thing they really share in common is their love of beauty and art, traditional warrior concepts, long centuries of history, and some of their food is a little similar, like rice dishes. In World War 2, The Japanese, tried to take over China because the land of China is rich in Natural Resources whereas Japan lacks oil and many mineral ores. The Japanese were very brutal to the Chinese during that war. They are not like that now.

China has an older civilization than Japan. It is estimated that Chinese people were in the area more than 5,000 years ago, much longer than those in Japan.
