No country currently claims Hawaii, as it is a state of the United States. Hawaii was annexed by the U.S. in 1898 and became the 50th state in 1959. Prior to its annexation, Hawaii was an independent kingdom, but it has not been claimed by any other nation since becoming part of the U.S.
