I would think it would be the Southern Colonies. I think this because as shown on certain maps, if you multiply the length by width: l x w<----As shown in this formula, you get 90,000 for Backcountry(which is the sum of the lined area) because you would multiply 900 x 100 = 90,000 which is less than what the Southern Colonies sum of the area of land is. The area of the Southern Colonies land is 100,000(500 x 200). To figure out these lengths and widths you would measure the lengths and widths in miles(or kilometers if you choose) of the larger colonies(because it makes absoulutely no sense whatsoever to measure the smaller colonies because we already know that they are smaller, thus they won't have the most land area) depending upon the scale you are given. You know to measure the area of the land because the question you asked states which of the colonial regions had the largest land AREA. Hope this helps ya'll. :)
