The Alps are the mountains that would have to be crossed.
Well there are the french southern alps and the European southern alps but the most likely one would be the southern alps along the west coast of the south Island in new Zealand. The highest point is Aoraki/mount cook.In the South Island of New Zealand
It is most likely to be the Northern Scandinavian peninsula and Northern European Russia. Another area would the the Swiss Alps.

Switzerland. Specifically the Swiss Alps.
Monte Rosa (Italian) or Mont Rose (French) is the highest mountain in Switzerland and the second-highest in both the Alps and western Europe. The main summit is known as the Dufourspitze (4634 metres)
I do know that you have the French Alps as well as the Swiss Alps. As far as other countries included, I'm not sure.
