Hitler was appeased in Munich, Germany. And to appease means to give in or gain the good will of someone. In other words, Hitler got his way in Munich Germany. The Germans gave in to his commands.
Adolf Hitler opposed the Munich Pact in various ways and even broke it severally. Winston Churchill is also known to have out-rightly opposed this pact.
Munich Conference
Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich Pact to avoid war.
The Munich pact was signed on 29th september 1938.The pact was signed by Htler with Britain and France. It was agred to hand over Sudetanlands to Hitler. In return Hitler guaranteed Czachoslovakia's integrity.
They used a policy of appeasement. They met in Munich, Germany to sign the Munich Pact to allow Hitler to take the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. This act made them look like fools when they learned Hitler had already sent troops into the Sudetenland before the Munich Conference and the signing of the pact.

Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland, to be more precise.
The Munich Pact was an attempt by the democracies to appease Hitler by ceding him the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia, in the hopes that he would end or delay his expansion. France and Britain realized that they were unprepared to wage war. Ironically, neither was Germany, but Hitler bluffed the democracies into believing it was.
The Munich Pact gave Hitler the Sudetenland, part of Czechoslovakia. It also made him promise not to take anymore land in Europe. That was promise he broke.
He felt that France and the UK were just giving in to Hitler's wishes and that they had abandoned Czechoslovakia.
