The Hjemkomst Viking Ship is actually located at the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County Museum in Moorhead, MN.
Robert Asp, a guidance counselor at Moorhead Junior High School, designed and built (along with several volunteers) the Hjemkomst Viking ship. The design was based on the Gokstad burial ship and took six years to build.
