From a very common wood widely explored by the Portuguese colonyzer in the XIV century called "PAU BRASIL". "pau" being the portuguese for "stick", explained by it's thin trunk, and "brasil" coming from "brasa" meaning "cinder" explained by it's red color.

This wood was explored to make an exotic live red fabric painting.
