Who gave tarpon springs its name?

The story goes that the daughter of one of the first families to settle Tarpon Springs gave it it's name. They say she saw a Tarpon fish jump out of the bayou and she said, "look at how that Tarpon Springs."

No one knows for sure if that's myth or not, but that's the story.
