Samoans are also a very proud people, and have the whole of their culture in tact, and usually speak their language. Hawaiian culture was shredded to peices by America, who prohibited Hawaiian in schools and beat children who spoke it, and changed everything to English and missionaries banned the hula and on and on. Samoans usually see this as a soft spot when they are offended in the cultural battle and use this as a comeback. Its actually not samoans in general, its just the few that offend hawaiians in the previously stated ways. Unless you're Hawaiian, you will never truly understand.
