First, penguins do not 'live' in Antarctica. The come to the ice to breed, then return to the sea, where they 'live'. They breed on Antarctica's beaches because there are no predators on the land. Exceptions are carnivorous birds that take penguin checks to feed their young, and orca whales and leopard seals that will take penguins, regardless of their size that venture into or too close to open water.
