One of Louis Riel's men killed Thomas Scott.

Although he was shot, he was not killed. He was shot by a firing squad but only two of the shots hit him, wounding his upper chest and shoulder. A man then stepped forward with a pistol and shot him through his cheek and out his nose. Thomas was still alive so he was put into a coffin and buried alive. The General was the one who told everybody to leave him in there. some people say that his body was tossed into a river.
