Why are some people ugly?

There is no real definition of "ugly". It means something different to all of us. Let me clarify. Something one person thinks is beautiful might be ugly to another.

There are no ugly people, just ignorant people who don't want to see the beauty.

Physical characteristic that some people might consider ugly can be caused by heredity, but the ugliest people are those who are ugly on the inside. Bitter, mean spirited, negative people are the ugliest people in the world.

You can't really say someone is ugly unless everyone on the planet agrees. The beauty really is in the eye of the beholder and just because you find the unattractive does not mean someone else do.

Well, appearance has a genetic factor. If your parents are both supermodels, chances are you're going to look fairly beautiful. On the other hand, if your parents are both... ugly, then you'll follow suit. Beyond that, it depends on the way you treat yourself. A person who exercises and maintains good health with good nutrition is going to look better than someone who fails to maintain hygiene, does drugs, etc.

Scientifically speaking, most ugly individuals receive the x and y chromosomes of their mother and father, or in other words, they are born that way.
