More land.
Italy and Japan entered the war to
After WW1 germany, Italy, and Japan had dictators. Germanys was HITLER:(
Japan wasn't in WW1.
italy signed the treaty of London committing itself to enter ww1 on the side of the allies on April 26, 1915. Italy was looking for, support against France , and they declared war on Australia Hungary
Its empire, the Russian empire, Canada, Italy, the Empire of Japan, Portugal, USA and France.
Well obviously enough, Germany lost WW1, and was blamed for starting it. They had to pay 30 billion $ to help the Triple Entente(Britain, US, France), they also had to weaken their territory and military. They were punished by the "Treaty of Versailles." Italy DID NOT get any land or benefit from the Treaty of Versailles...and that is one of the common reasons people believe why Germany and Italy were mad after WW1. I am not sure about Japan..but I know more that Japan was more involved in WW2 than WW1.

Italy...Austria...Hungary...Japan (yes, Japan) - WW2 Austrian-Hungarian (Hapsburg) Empire, Ottoman Empire (Turkey) - WW1
Fascism existed in Italy in the period of WW1. As a matter of fact, this appears to have fuelled Italy's participation in the war.
Not too sure about Italy, but Japan were on the Germans side and got the USA to enter the war by attacking Pearl Harbour! Hopefully that gives you some help!
WW1: Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria WW2: Austria (Anschluss), Japan, temporarily Russia & Italy
