5 times. The Egyptian semi-presidential system (A president is in power along side a prime minister who is head of the parliament) states that once elected, a president will serve for 6 years. Mubarak first became president in 1981 when he served as vice-president and the current president was assassinated. It seems very unlikely that he will be elected again however.

The award winning book "The Egypt Game" was written by Zilpha Keatley Snyder. The book centers around several young children who recreate their own Egypt by reproducing the rituals and practices they research. A young girl in their neighborhood is found murdered forcing all the children to stay inside for weeks. The solution comes later in the book when the murderer is identified.
Of course. It is only the office of president that is limited and that is only the elected term. One could be elected VP with a President whose intention is to resign, effectively electing the same president over and over again. However, the elected President could decide not to resign and if you had such a popular president, then the constitution could be more easily amended.
