Why did Peter Minuit settle in Delaware?

Okay, settlers in America that got stuck with the Puritans were given this land and thought that it wasn't fair to be religious and decided to go and settle on this land called Delaware. (BTW whoever said "because they wanted to" should go back to 8th grade social studies where I just so happpen to be)

Peter Minuit found Delaware on accident, and he was sailing away from Massachusetts after being band. He was band from practicing unrelious beliefs, and wanted to get away from that. This happened in1638.
