The HI`ian language is a living language of a living people who deserve to protect and perpetuate their language. It is only because of the wrong-doings of the American government that the language was forced to be unlawful in the '40/'50's. To forceably make native people who are Americans to do this, of course, is as absurd as slavery in this country, or forcing Native Americans to give up their lands or to live on reservations.

It is our continued hope and prayer that we, you, I, and the children of today, learn from these atrociities, and make the country a better place in the future.

What areas in Hawaii are considered dangerous?

Depends on what island you are on. There are eight 'main' islands. If you are not Hawaiian, you would want to stay away from predominantly Hawaiian towns because there is hostility towards caucasians. Which is understandable considering Hawaiians had their land stollen from them by America, were beaten and killed for their lands. Diseases brought in from Americans killed off about 75% of Hawaiians and in modern day, caucasians look down on Hawaiians and consider them lazy, fat and ugly while at the same time wanting Hawaiians to give them Hawaiian names and teach them about the Hawaiian culture. If on oahu, avoid anywhere other than Waikiki and downtown. Some parts of the north shore could be bad for your health as well.
