singapore uses fuel power because of the fact that suffer from tsunamis ,and neuclear power stations would be under to much presusre and explode leaving singapore with more devastaition than what the tsunami would of left
no offense, you obviously have not researched. Yes, that is the reason why MOST countries use fuels. That is correct. It is also probably your country's reason. However, Singapore DOES NOT HAVE ANY NATURAL DISASTERS WHATSOEVER. Therefore to say the damage caused by the tsunami would be a lie. An unintentional one, but a lie nonetheless. Sorry for being sharp, I don't like people that spreain misinformation, ESPECIALLY about Singapore. you make us sound so powerless... To answer the question, its the cheapest way of generating electricity, easily accessible, no need to build expensive power stations.... Also, as I said earlier, Singpoorest isn't exactly exposed to strong winds. we don't build dams because although were an island, our seas are used for ports and beaches. We can't dig it in the middle of nowhere because we're a tiny place and need the place for housing. As for nuclear power starions... relations with countries are important for a place with no back up resources and land space. nuclear power is considered a threat as it is powerful and can be used for war. if people want to do trust singapore, we must come across as open and not experimenting with dangerous things that can be used to stab others in the back. Hope this helps!
It lasts longer. and the electricity is from the enviroment.
To generate electricity.
Singapore does not use hydroelectric dams to generate electricity.
Singapore does not use hydroelectric dams to generate electricity.
Moving water can be used to generate electricity in hydroelectric power stations.
Power stations use natural resources such as coal, natural gas, oil, and nuclear fuel to generate electricity. These resources are burned or utilized to produce steam, which then drives turbines to generate electricity. Solar and wind power stations also use sunlight and wind as natural resources to produce electricity.
the turbines run due to the steam produced by sun.
there are 100 power stations but there is 6 power station in singapore!
Coal is used all over the US in power stations to generate electricity.
Power stations, which can either be coal, gas, nuclear powered. Green power such as wind, wave and solar power can also be harnessed to generate electricity.
Yes most power stations do use heat to generate electricity. Heat energy of the fuel (e.g. burning coal, burning oil, nuclear fission) is utilized to heat water present in the boiler. This heating generates steam, which is then utilized to run the turbine. However some power stations get the energy to generate electricity without using heat (e.g. hydroelectric dams, wind power, sea wave power, solar cell generation systems).
Yes. There are many power stations that use natural gas to heat water to steam and then turn turbines to generate electricity. These are considered more environmentally friendly than oil or coal powered plants.
