Why is Mexico not a peninsula but Spain is?

The first and most important reason is because Spain is in Europe and Mexico is in North America.

Then, Spain is part of a peninsula known as the Iberian Peninsula, which includes both Portugal and Spain, and is located on the extreme western point of all Europe.

Now, Mexico is a country in North America, just south of the United States. It looks like a cornucopia, or a sea horse; it acts as a land bridge between the United States and Central America.
