It is not just ham. It is a Smithfield Ham. They are dry salt cured and hickory smoked long cut hams that are then aged for up to a year. These are Gourmet Hams that are quite different from the grocery store hams available at big discounts every Easter. The Smithfield is available cooked or uncooked, bone in or boneless and the price for one is about 75 dollars and up. They are not for the bargain hunter. And they are not to be wasted by covering them with pineapple glaze and Maraschino cherries. A Charles Henry Gray Party Ham retails for about 175 dollars for a 12 pound ham and that works out to about two dollars a bite. But they are worth every penny.
