The alternator bracket is a large part that bolts to the engine and you can see very little of it .We've spent 2 days trying to find a used one.Same thing 1989 3.0 voyager. Alternator sittng slightly crooked and developed a annoying noise that would go away if you pulled hard on the alternator.No-one wants to take one off because it takes a couple hrs. There are specialty welding shops that weld cast aluminum. Just right now we found a shop that does it . $40.00 and it'll be ready in a couple hrs. If I only did this in the first place . By the way the part is discontinued and was about $160.00 If you haven't taken the part off there is a fair amount of time involved to do it.You need to take it off in order to get it welded.
