British and Australian troops were sent to Gallipolli in 1915 in order to capture the dardinelles straight - knocking turkey out of the war and putting pressure on Germany. The reason it was so important to Russia was because the purpose of gaining the dardinelles straight was to gain access for ships to send suplies to russia. It is probably not as important today since much international cargo travels by air, but when almost everything was shipped by sea, the ports on the Black Sea were Russia's only access to the open ocean that would not be blocked ice in the winter.
Because that's the important aspect of living in Russia.
they separate the European Russia from the Asian Russia
The Dardanells was a stragictic focal point of WW1 because it was the only sea access to the Black Sea, Russia's only warm water port. During winter all of Russia's other ports frezze over and the country can't receive imports by sea. As Turkey was not letting any ships through the Dardanells Russia decided that it was top priority that they reclaim the area so ships could pass through and replenish Russia with supplies.mission report December 16 1991lol I'm dumb omg download I funny
the barents sea is farther northwest but the white sea is more truly within russia so you can have your choice depending on what you really want or mean
the Greeks lived on the Mediterranean Sea... so I would say that one. They knew of the Black sea and the Caspian sea; and the ancient Greeks believed the Atlantic Ocean to be a world encompassing sea.
Black sea is different from the Dead Sea. Dead Sea lies in Jordan, near Jerusalem, while the Black Sea lies essentially in Europe, surrounded by Turkey on its south.
because the waves have lots of dirt because it is so rough
Those that live in the north, east and southwest of Russia, I believe so, because on the North of Russia there is the Artic Ocean, instead on the east, there is the Sea of Okhotsk, when on the southwest there is the Caspian sea, and Black sea.If your question is if the Russian population fishes on based on their geographic area, but on their personal preferences and a population, then I don't know. sorry.
This city is Istanbul but the city-proper is not so close to the Black Sea. (The Istanbul metropolitan area nearly extends to the Black Sea.)
why was the black greasewood plant so important in the expedition
The Arctic Ocean (or known as the Northern Ocean), is North of Russia. There are several small seas off the Russian northern coast: Barents Sea; White Sea; Kara Sea; Lapten Sea; and East Siberian Sea.
Moldavia did border the Black Sea but hasn't existed since 1859 or so. Moldova, which contains parts of Moldavia, is close but does not directly touch the Black Sea.
