Leo doesn't represent a Greek god. According to myth, after Heracles slayed the Nemean Lion and took his pelt for armor, the gods honored the monster and placed it in the heavens at the constellation Leon tes Nemeas (Leo Nemaeus in Latin, or just plain Leo)
