Gaborone is the capital city of Botswana and is famous for its Mokolodi Nature reserve. It is not a typical tourist destination but does support some good hotels and a couple of casinos. It is really a place for the wildlife enthusiast or those wishing to have a taste of the safari. It gets extremely hot in Botswana and best travelled too in the spring or autumn.

There are plenty of drives and walks that are offered through the nature reserve to see the abundant wildlife. You can spend an entire two weeks just looking at the different animals that reside there but you will need to be patient sometimes. Gaborone is also very proud of its National Museum which is well worth a look whilst you are there.

This is a typical safari holiday with some great animal attractions; the hotels are of a good standard and offer excellent food and service. It is well worth taking a day or two to experience this great city.
