Yes, crows are known to eat from bird feeders, as they are opportunistic feeders and will consume a variety of foods, including seeds and nuts found in bird feeders.
Yes, robins typically do not eat from bird feeders as they prefer to forage for insects and worms on the ground.
The best type of bird feed for crows is a mix of nuts, seeds, and grains, as well as fruits and vegetables. Crows are omnivores and have a varied diet, so providing a diverse range of foods will attract them to your feeders.
Just saw two crows trying to catch a squirrel in the woods. The squirrel was jumping from tree to tree with the crows flying after it. They were definitely trying to catch it. So from what I saw crows do eat/hunt squirrels
Yes you can. Crows are actually scavenger birds, which means they will eat whatever they get their hands (wings? beaks?) on. Including roadkill. They are known for hijacking bird feeders and stealing corn from farm fields (they're smart, eventually they'll figure out that the scarecrow is fake). But it is not advised that you purposefully feed wild crows. Wild crows are sometimes seen as a pest because they will unroot plants to get at the seeds or bulbs, hijack bird feeders, scare off or fight off the friendlier birds such as songbirds and have sometimes been observed attacking cats (oh and they'll also eat a dead cat). Crows display very similar behaviour to vultures. Be careful when feeding them as to not attract too many to the neighbourhood.
They can do if they find it in the right place. But they are too large to get seed from most feeders. (Rooks and Jackdaws have been seeen on bird feeders!)
Robins typically do not eat from bird feeders because they prefer to feed on insects, worms, and fruits found on the ground or in trees. They have a different diet compared to birds that commonly visit feeders, such as finches or sparrows.
all birds eat from bird feeders its just getting them there without them being spooked so they will come back
Crows will eat bird seed, but they also prefer a varied diet that includes fruits, insects, small animals, and carrion.
crows
Crows eat anything. As for other birds they prefer babies and or eggs from other nests. Next would be any dead bird. I have seen wild crows mimic many other bird calls as to find the bird and or it's nest. I know one crow that knows at least three other calls. Finally, a crow in captivity can learn as fast or faster the english language and remember a person or animal after being absent for years.
Birds of prey eat other birds, as do some corvids (crows), for instance Eurasian Magpies eat the eggs and chicks of small songbirds.
An aggressive, noisy bird, that will dominate feeders, and will eat most anything.
