there is no actual formula but i have my way of worknig it out and its this from the flight depature time add the relevent length of the flight time for example local time in London 1230 flight time to Tokyo 12 hours 12.30 +12 =24.30 from the local time on Tokyo add the no of time zones travelled through in this case 9 so 00.30+9 = 9. 30 so you will arrive at 9.30 if travelling west bound take the local time add the flight time deduct the time zones travelled through and you have your answer if 12.30 8 hour flight to New York deduct 5 off 20.30 and you have your answer
