The Forum. (The Colloseum is nearby, the agora is Greek, and the Vatican did not exist)
The Colosseum is between the Palatine, Cealian and Esquiline hills, at the bottom of the imperial fora (plural of forum), and by the Arch of Constantine and the Circus Maximus in the city of Rome.
In ancient Rome the gladiators fought in the Colosseum.
the ticket costs 12 euros and allows you to visit the colosseum, the roman forum and the palatine hill with the ruins of the imperial palace. With a few euros more is possible to get an audioguide. I know that is possible to do a guided tour organized by the same people selling the tickets but i don't know about the price
No. There is only one Colosseum and that is in Rome. Pompeii had an amphitheater, but not in it's forum. A forum is a marketplace and civic center. An amphitheater is a place for public entertainment.
No the colosseum is in the same location it has been in since it was built. However, it's location in on a estate built by Nero. The colosseum is on what was an artificial lake on the grounds of the Nero palace. In recent years they have uncovered parts of the Nero palace and it is now open for tours. The Temple of Venus was located in the forum across the street from the colosseum. You can see the ruins when you visit the forum.
the location of the Colosseum is in Italy , Rome
The Colosseum, the Circus Maximus and the temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus in the Capitoline Hill were the most stunning sight in ancient Rome. The Forum, the Forum of caesar, the Forum of Trajan, The Forum of Augustus, the Forum of Nerva, the Forum of Vespasian, Trajan's Column and the Column of Marcus Aurelius were also great sights.
