You are way off. Greece in on the eastern-most point of Europe and Portugal is on the western-most. It should be clear when you look at a map, Portugal is to the left of Spain and Greece is to the right of Italy (that boot shaped piece of land).

Maine - try looking at a map of the USA it's not too hard to spot... Sorry...correction....Alaska is the most eastern (and western and northern) of the 50 US states. The Aleutian Islands extend across the 180 longitude, and into the Eastern Hemisphere. (Hawaii is the most southern.) However, Maine would be the most eastern of the contiguous 48 states.
