If you find a small black bug with 6 legs and antennae in your home, it is best to carefully capture it and identify it to determine if it is a pest. You can then take appropriate action, such as removing it or contacting a pest control professional if needed. It's important to address the issue promptly to prevent any potential infestations.

How do you change the power antenna on a 2002 Hyundai sonata?

First you have to purchase a new one for about $250 or switch to a non-power antenna. Then with the car off so the antenna is in the down position, locate the antenna motor by pulling the side wall of the inside of the trunk (the side with the antenna) loose (be sure to unhook the plastic fasteners). Once you can see the antenna motor you should be able to see the wires that deliver power to it. They come together at a male/female connector just before the exterior of the antenna motor. Disconnect them. They should pull apart fairly simply. Once you have done this find the large black wire the runs to the radio. It connects towards the top if the attenna shaft inside the car. There is what looks like a small sleeve on the wire close to the attena shaft, it pulls apart there. Then you will need to disconnect the ground wire. It is connected to the frame of the car with a Phillips screw. Once that is remove, locate the bolt about 4" below the ground screw (should be 10 mm socket). This bolt anchors the antenna to the car. After this bolt is removed you should be able to slide the antanna out of place. At this point you will notice a black tube coming out of the bottom of the antenna motor. Just pull it off. It should slide off easy. That is it, the antenna is out. If you are replacing it with a new one just reverse the steps to install it. If you are putting in a non-power one. Install as directed on package. The only wire you should have to use is the one coming from the radio and it should plug right into your new antenna. Hope it helps. -Marie

How do you replace the power antenna motor on a 1998 Ford Taurus - Mercury Sable?

'98 Taurus Power Antenna MotorOn my '98 Taurus SE, the antenna motor is near the rear fender on the driver's side. Remove the trunk liner and you find all sorts of things. I think the motor is or is inside the black box between a brace and the quarter panel. It is also possible to find a replacement mast. I found a source on eBay and paid about $15 for just the mast / nylon drive part.In my case, the repair did require the antenna be opened up (2 mounting bolts, and 4 small cover screws), but many times the mast can be repaired just from the outside.Try a search on "Taurus antenna mast repair" - that should get you started.take it to the ford dealershipu can disconeect power from antenna at the back of the radio. the electric motor has a stripped gear on it. a replacement is not expensive, but you can remove antenna assembly and replace with a normal antenna in the same place
