There is a compound by that name that was identified by national health intersts as a possible carcinogen. It was found in many, many plastic drinking and food containers in America. I do not know if the material was found in other countries. By the way I am an "old" person in California, U.S.A.

The material has been banned from use or sales in any containers sold for people use in the United States. I think that the use of those containers in plastic containers that are used for heating in microwave ovens was the "Bad" issue. I nevcer trusted or used plastic for eating or drinking anyway. Taste issues.
