Of course you can, if the SIM is compatible with phone's operating frequency. For example, if your SIM is designed to work in 2100Mhz, you cannot use it in standard GSM phones.
every body says no and Verizon wont use it as a prepaid but if you go to metro PC they will switch it for you but it being a smart phone you cant use the 'smart' capbilities like the mobile tv and the internet
No... TATA INDICOM Is truly CDMA network.. it is not possible to get a gsm tata sim card.

If you are traveling internationally, you can take your GSM cell phones and avoid expensive international roaming charges by using a prepaid SIM card. Before leaving, call your cell phone carrier and inform them that you'll be traveling internationally and ask them for an unlock code. After unlocking the phone, you will be able to use your unlocked cell phone with any other carrier's SIM card. When you get to your destination, simply buy a prepaid SIM card and insert it into your device. You will be able to use your phone on your vacation without paying outrageous roaming fees.
It depends on what type of phone it is, GSM, or CDMA. You can tell the difference between the two, fairly easily: GSM phones take a SIM card, while CDMA do not : If it's a GSM phone, AT&T would be a provider, as would T-Mobile. If it's CDMA, Verizon would be your best bet!
A GSM Modem is a modem that operates over a subscription like a mobile phone. One can purchase a GSM Modem from eBay, Walmart, Amazon, and Robot Shop.
No it has a full qwerty keyboard that slides out the side.
Try eBay !
No you cannot. AT&T uses a GSM network and Boost uses iDEN and the two are not even remotely compatible. The Boost SIM card can be used for international roaming but it will not work with GSM networks in the US. It will not work either way, a Boost SIM will not work in a GSM device and a GSM SIM will not work in a Boost device.
Sim Card SwitcharooMost phones that accept a SIM card can be unlocked and used for any service that uses SIM card technology. AT&T and Tmobile phones & SIM cards can be used in this way. However Tracfone and Net10 phones and SIM cards cannot. For AT&T and Tmobile, Prepaid or Contract makes no difference. I use my ATT / Cingular contract service SIM in a T-Mobile Prepaid phone. (unlocked of course). The unlocking bit, depending on the company that makes the phone, can get a little tricky; but if you put some time into searching, you can find the information you need for a small cost or most likely free altogether. I am leaving out info pertaining to technology compatibility as most state and abroad phones are GSM, and you most likely have a GSM SIM card.
