You would go South.
Nubia took control of Egypt in 747 bc.
Nubia was conquered by Egypt circa 1500 B.C. and was incorporated into its provinces, helping to make up the "New Kingdom" of Egypt. Nubia would eventually rebel under Piye and rule Egypt in part or in whole during the 25th dynasty (760 B.C.-656 B.C.).
Cairo would not have been located in ancient Nubia :)
The ancient civilization directly south of Ancient Egypt was Nubia, also known as Kush. Nubia was located in present-day Sudan and had close cultural connections with Ancient Egypt, including trade and occasional political ties.
The Egyptians "traded" with Nubia for their gold.
Ancient Nubia was primarily located in the region along the Nile south of Egypt, encompassing parts of present-day Sudan. Cities such as Cairo, Alexandria, and Giza, which are situated in northern Egypt, would not have been part of ancient Nubia. Similarly, cities far from the Nile Valley, such as those in sub-Saharan Africa or in Europe, would not have been located in ancient Nubia.
Some of their gold was from other kindoms they conquered and most of it was from their land. Ancient Egypt had alot of gold underground.
If they conqured it they could make them pay you tribute and they would no longer have to trade with them.
I think the answer would be that Nubia even contributed some pharaohs.I hope that this answer helps!!!!
Because there was much gold there to find.
