Yes, that is true of U. S. Senators and U. S. Representatives. State Senators have districts from which the are elected.
Of course, for states that have one U. S. Representative, the whole state is their district. They are known as At Large Representatives.
Senators are elected by the citizens of each state through a direct popular vote. Representatives are also elected by the citizens of each congressional district within a state through a direct popular vote. This process is outlined in the United States Constitution, specifically in Article I, Section 2 for representatives and the 17th Amendment for senators.
yes.
In the Maine state legislature, there are 151 representatives who are elected to 2 year terms. There are 35 state senators, also elected to 2 year terms.
Representatives have to be at least 25 and be a US citizen for 7 years. Senators have to be at least 30 and be a US citizen for 9 years. Both must reside in the state/district for which they will be elected.

You are asking the wrong question. There are 435 Members in the House of Representatives in Washington DC. One for each congressional district picked by population. But Senators are picked two to each state regardless of the number of people in the state. So California with 38 plus million has two senators and Wyoming with around 1 million has two senators. Senators are not picked by legislative district.
Every state has exactly 2 US senators. They are each elected by the whole state. There are representatives in the House of Representatives, and the number of representatives is based on the various state populations. The larger the population of a state, the more representatives that state has. They represent various regions throughout the state, and the residents of a given region elects its representative.
U. S. Senators and Representatives are elected by direct public vote. Each Senator is elected by all the voters of the state he/she represents, and each Representative is elected by the voters of his/her congressional district within the state. A Senator's term is six years; the term of a Representative is two years. There are no term limits for U. S. Senators and Representatives. Representatives are always elected on the day after the first Monday of November of even-numbered years (unless a special election is needed to fill a vacant seat).
US equals 18 and State Representatives is 99, US Senators equals two and State Senators is 33.
From 1788 to 1912, U. S. Senators were elected by their state legislatures.
The state legislature has 151 state represntatives and 35 state senators. (In the US Congress, the state has 2 Senators and 2 Representatives.)
Representatives and Senators need only to be representatives of the State which they will represent, not the congressional district (for representatives). See Article I of the Constitution.
