The five delegates chosen to draft the Declaration of Independence were Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston. Thomas Jefferson was the principal author, tasked with articulating the colonies' reasons for seeking independence from Britain. The committee was formed by the Second Continental Congress in June 1776. Their collaborative efforts culminated in the adoption of the Declaration on July 4, 1776.
Apparently our nation was formed by our Founding Fathers which include: Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton.[3]
The name of the political party formed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison was the Democratic-Republican party. The five beliefs were that there should be a limited national government, a fear of rule by one person or a powerful few, strict interpretation of the Constitution, opposition of a national bank, and their economy would be based on farming.
