The question is really very complex! First it depends on what you mean by fair skinned this can be a rather subjective assesment. I know my Indian friends refer to some Indian skin tones as "fair" and call me "white" even though my skin tone is darker than a "fair" Indian in summer. This problem has also troubled scientists trying to research the topic! Secondly, we would need to discover the genes responsible for the colouring of each of the parents current wisdom suggests there are around 40 genes which may play a part. Deducing how different combinations of those 40 genes and there many variations (alleles) interact with each other will take a very long time! Thirdly we all know that skin colour is altered by sunlight, so it depends on how much time mum and dad spend sat indoors to how much time the child spends playing outdoors. Fourthly some people choose to artifically darken or lighten their skin tone with cosmetics depending on what is fashionable for their location. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=212702 The data comes from the paper above. Mendelian genetics would suggest that the skin colour of the child should on average be intermediate between the two parents, however it will range from "the sum of the parent's darkness" to the "the sum of the parents' lightness". There is always the chance for random mutations to cause a darker skin tone than expected and there is always the chance of some of the unresearched genes being recessive and only showing dark skin in double copies, one from each parent. In summary, yes there is a possibility.
It depends on the genetic material passed on to the child by both parents. If the father also carries genes for blond hair, there is a chance the child could have blond hair, especially if both parents carry the gene for that trait.
Maybe, they are just kind of tanned but it only matters if you like who they are. :)
Yes, two blonde parents can have a dark-haired child if they both carry a recessive gene for dark hair. The dark hair trait could be passed down from previous generations. Hair color is determined by a combination of parental genes, so genetic variability allows for different combinations of traits in offspring.
The child's complexion could vary widely based on the genetic inheritance from each parent. The child could have a range of skin tones, from dark to light, due to the combination of genes from both parents. Skin color is determined by multiple genetic factors, not just the parents' skin tones.
YES!!!! Both of my parents have dark brown hair. My oldest sister has blond hair and my other sister and I have copper red hair!!!
It is difficult to predict with certainty. The child could inherit either dark brown or hazel eyes, as eye color is determined by multiple genes. There is a possibility for a mix of both parents' eye colors as well.
she's olive skin toned
possibly....its a recessive gene but if its your first child its probably gonna have the dads eyes.
The characters in the short story "A Dark Brown Dog" by Stephen Crane include a dark brown dog, a child, the child's family (including the father and mother), and a group of boys. The primary focus is on the interactions between the dog and the child.
skin pigmentation can come from the genes you carry and are made up of. so if you had 5 siblings and 1 was ofdarker skined and 4 who were of fair complexion and all 5 siblings went and had 3 children one of the fair complexion siblings could have a darker skined child and so forth.
It’s 75% brown eyes and 25% blue. But we had four kids and we both have brown eyes his dark brown mine light brown, both our parents have one brown eyes and one blue eyed each. 2 of my kids have very blue blue eyes one has green and one dark brown, all beautiful, same with their hair. We both have dark brown hair, one had dark brown hair one light brown and two blond. Go figure?
If the females parents both have dark brown hair and the males parents both have light brown hair, their is a 50/50 chance of having either colour hair. Although if that is not the case, the child could have blonde hair if one of the grandparents has blonde hair also, there is not a definite hair colour. It is all down to chance.
