M72 LAW (Light Anti-Armor Weapons), Dragons (medium AA wpns), TOWs (heavy AA wpns), Saggers (Wire guided AA wpns), 57mm, 90mm, 106mm recoillless rifles; 37mm, 47mm, 57mm, 75mm, 76mm, 88mm, 90mm, 105mm, 120mm, 152mm tank guns only punch holes in armor. The US M72 was the counterpart to the Soviet/Chinese Communist RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade); and these wpns also ONLY punch holes in armor.

NO WEAPON described above will destroy any tank or infantry fighting vehicle. They will only punch holes in them. If the Japanese type 2 grenade launcher is a WWII wpn, it will most likely just punch a small hole less than 1/2 inch in diameter in a Bradley or Stryker...if the projo (projectile) doesn't strike reactive armor, or stand-off armor first. And if a AA projo can't penetrate the sides (most protected), they'll almost always be able to penetrate the top or bottom. Same with battleships, the sides are almost always the thickest.

The only way tanks/IFVs can be destroyed is: A) internal explosions B)direct hit from a 1000 pound aerial bomb C)melted down in a steel mill. Burned out and/or holed armored vehicles can always be re-built. Even if ordnance technicians say that the armor of the tank is no longer tempered armor due to fire. A tank can still be re-built and withstand conventional small arms fire and standard mortar and hand grenades explosions; holes can be sealed up. RPGs and LAWs only make a hole about the size of a person's little finger in a solid steel Patton tank or aluminum M113.
