Years before Lincoln became president, the Rothschild s wanted to weaken the government in order to create a privately owned banking system where they would be the only ones who could print paper money, loan it out and collect the interest. Their plan was to in debt the nation to them forever. The Rothschilds created rancor and hate between the North and the South. Slavery was the tool used to create this animosity. They told people in the North that slavery was immoral, while telling the people in the South that they had the right of self-determination. They promoted the war.
At the time each individual bank could print their own paper money. In the mean time, the prospect of war was just wonderful for the Rothschilds. All nations need money to pay their bills for the cost of war. The bankers wanted to loan them the money with interest. They would get a percentage of the total cost of the war. (a tactic still used today)
Unfortunately for the Rothchilds, both the North and the South found their initial interest rates too high and refused to borrow money. The Rothschilds failed to make the war loans and their plan to make the two new nations indebted to them forever-- ended.
The hate they helped to create continued to fester in the hearts of men. This hate gave Lincoln an excuse to start a war to end the southern aristocracy. Lincoln hated the southern rich, their arrogant life style and presumed superiority. The wealthiest man in the south was Joseph Davis. Lincoln absolutely hated Joseph Davis.
Lincoln deliberately started the war by sending an armada to resupply Fort Sumter. This large navel force was just for show, Lincoln had no plans to resupply Fort Sumter. When the South saw the approaching armada, they felt the need to fire on the fort. By firing on Fort Sumter, the south was tricked into starting the civil war.
Did who try to stop slavery? Abraham Lincoln
Technically Abraham Lincoln was not assassinated during the Civil Rights Movement. Yes, he did try to stop slavery, but the Civil Rights Movement was through the 1950's into the 1960's. John F. Kennedy is the president assassinated while in a Convertable during a motorcade by Lee Harvy Oswald.
Abraham Lincoln was the rail-splitter because he split a lot of rails as a boy and young man
Oh honey, bless your heart. Abraham Lincoln didn't write "To Kill a Mockingbird." That masterpiece was crafted by the one and only Harper Lee. Lincoln was too busy being the 16th President of the United States and ending slavery to be writing novels. But hey, nice try!
President Abraham Lincoln sought to prevent Southern states from seceding primarily through diplomatic means and appeals to unity. He emphasized the importance of preserving the Union and argued that secession was unconstitutional. Lincoln also pledged not to interfere with slavery in the states where it already existed, hoping to alleviate Southern fears about his administration. Despite these efforts, the secessionist movement gained momentum, leading to the outbreak of the Civil War.
Lincoln tried to reassure the south by saying he wouldn't make a law on slavery even though he was against it.
I would believe that to have been more of a moral issue, rather then one which required inspiration. Subjecting another human to inhuman conditions should always be abhorred.

President Lincoln wanted to stop the spread of slavery, and slave trade. The Union supported him, but most people in the Confederacy did not. They wanted to keep trading slaves, and using slave labor. This is one reason why the Civil War started, and why Lincoln was assassinated.
