According to what I have read, an Obstetrician is a Gynecologist, but a Gynecologist is not always an Obstetrician. Being an Obstetrician you must be able to identify, treat and handle the female reproductive system just like a Gynecologist. Typically, the pediatrician spends more time with the baby after birth, as they are responsible for the newborn's health and development. In contrast, the obstetrician primarily focuses on the mother's health during pregnancy and delivery. After the baby is born, the pediatrician conducts check-ups and addresses any health concerns, making their interactions with the baby more frequent and longer in duration.
