Does becoming a pediatrician require the use of math?

i want to be a pediatrician too. i think accounts and ecconomics are most unnessesary. i believe major mathes, for the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are nessesary. the thing about it is that we need to change temperatures etc. we need maths, but if you do maths till about grade 10 the rest of your focus should be on Biology, chemistry ect. not nerssesarily maths.

Pediatricians need to use math for many things. For example, in medicine, calculations are done using the metric system, so pediatricians need to know how to convert measurements. Also, to give out dosages, they need to use math. Body mass index is also another reason they need math. Many more things have math involved.

A pediatrician has to prescribe medications for children. It is very important that the dosages be appropriate for the child's age and/or body weight. A pediatrician must be able to calculate these dosages accurately, to prevent overdosing or underdosing the child. Mathematics is necessary for this.

Well a pediatrician is a person who is a doctor, certified to attend to sick children. Well math is something needed to complete your every day life , like a need. Don't limit your options by dropping math. A doctor needs math to calculate medicne required for the patients, to calculate the costs of usage of equipment and etc.

You need to graduate college and then go to medical school.

In order to get into college you need algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

Most people also take calculus and/or statistics.

Then, once in college you need a year of calculus.

My advice as a pediatrician and mathematician is to take algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trig, calculus x 3 semesters, and statistics.

For those that like math, linear algebra is a great class to take too.
