How can Senator Ted Cruz be quaified to run for the US Presidency He was born in Canada while his mother was a US citizen and his father was a Cuban citizen?

If his mother was a U.S. citizen when he was born then he may have been a U.S. citizen from the time of his birth. One does not need to be born in the U.S. to qualify for the U.S. presidency, as long as they have been a U.S. citizen since birth.

Very good question. The constitution states a person has to born in the United States to be president. He states he has been "naturalized ." My personal opinion that there are some who would like to overturn this in the constitution and this is the means they are using.

He qualifies as a citizen because his mother was a citizen. By that logic, even if Obama was born in Kenya, he'd still be eligible.
