The best way to win Student of the Quarter is to do your best in school, always turn in assignments on time, and make teachers notice you and see that you care about a subject. NEVER cheat, bully someone, or aggravate the teacher or other students in class. Basically, the key is to be noticed in a good way.
You can get your teacher's attention by answering questions and contributing positively to the class (aim to contribute 3 times per class), asking questions, being nice to other students, being respectful, and asking the teacher for assistance when you don't understand something. If you are a quiet or shy person, you may find it difficult to ask or answer questions in class, but it gets easier over time. Remember that when you ask a teacher for help, you are not admitting that you aren't as smart as someone else, or that they aren't a good teacher - you just don't quite understand something.
If you are already doing all of these things, but you just can't seem to win Student of the Quarter, try doing something to make yourself really stand out from the other candidates. Do something to help the school, improve your grades, or become more friendly with your teachers and the principal.
Also, remember that not everyone can be the Student of the Quarter. If you never get chosen, that doesn't mean that you aren't an awesome student or that your teachers don't like you - it just means that it was someone else's turn to shine!

A quarter is a fourth of the school year. If the school year is 36 weeks, then a quarter is nine weeks.
The student handbook may cover this topic. Otherwise, you could ask someone who already goes/ went there.
