How did George Washington arrive at the Pennsylvania state house?

Nothing tells us how he arrived. History tells us that the general sat on a raised dais never saying a word in the four months until the last day. His diaries seldom mention the work he was there to do, but they do record his coming and goings. He wrote, " dined with Mr. and Mrs. Morris," Finally, on the last day he wrote, " met in the convention when the constitution received the unanimous assent of 11 states and Col. Hamilton's from New York...did some business with, and received the papers from the secretary of the convention, and retired to meditate on the momentous work."

George Washington arrived at the Pennsylvania State House (now known as Independence Hall) on May 14, 1787, by horse-drawn carriage. He was attending the Constitutional Convention as the president of the convention and arrived to preside over the meetings.
