Put salt on the tail and not a bullet. Put yourself out in public areas where unwanted attentions can not be easily expressed. Do not take another partner yet or your partner will think you had one already and that mind may go ballistic. If the relationship is over you both need to say: I enjoyed what we had, I'm really sorry it didn't work out because we did have some good times. Where we were going is just not the way I want to go. I thank you for our good times but the bad times outweigh the bad now. Limit new engagements until you have a friendship only relationship with your ex-lover.
