Some officer on the state such as the Secretary of State certifies the election results to make sure that the electors who vote are the ones chosen by the voters.

The electors announce before hand how they will vote and their votes are public.

The votes are certified and sent to the Senate to be counted in a joint session of Congress.

However, if is possible for an elector to betray his party and vote differently than he said he would and such has been done on rare occasions in the distant past. Some states have laws against doing this, but I think although they can punish a traitorous elector, they can not cancel his vote. In any case, it is almost inconceivable that a present-day elector will violate his trust. Candidates for electors are always solid members of their party and have earned their position through long and hard service and/or large financial contributions.

The District of Columbia and the following 26 states currently have laws designed to make it even more certain that the electors will vote as they will have pledged: Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Did Andrew Jackson like the electoral college how do you know?

Andrew Jackson did not like the electoral college. Jackson lost the election of 1824 even though he received the largest number of popular votes and electoral votes. In the 1824 presidential election an individual needed to receive at least 131 electoral votes out of the 261 total electoral votes. Andrew Jackson received 99 electoral votes, John Quincy Adams received 84 electoral votes, William Crawford received 41 electoral votes, and Henry Clay received 37 electoral votes. The popular vote totals were Andrew Jackson 151,271, John Quincy Adams 113,122, Henry Clay 47,531, and William Crawford 40,856. Since no candidate received the required majority of 131 electoral votes, the president was elected by the U.S. House of Representatives in accordance with the Twelfth Amendment of the United States Constitution. John Quincy Adams won the election in the U.S. House of Representatives.
