Unfortunately no, unless you have retired from the military and become an Army Instructor or Senior Army Instructor, or somehow become involved by becoming a volunteer/chaperon, adults are not allowed to join JROTC as it is a student program.

They take roll. They call the class to Attention and lead the Pledge of Alligence and the Cadet Creed. They then turn the class over to the instructor in charge. They suprivise the class in the absence of the instructors. Also, class leaders ensure that the class room is clean and in order at the end of class.

There was one soldier in the Army who received the Navy cross during the Vietnam conflict. His name is COL (retired) Kenneth Ledford Jr. In Vietnam, he was a First Lieutenant, and he was a medevac, or "dust off" pilot. After retiring from The military, he became a teacher, and an instructor for the JROTC program.
