To find out if someone received a DD214, you can start by asking the individual directly, as they are the best source of that information. If they are unable or unwilling to provide it, you can check with the National Archives, which stores military service records, or the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, if you have a valid reason, you might be able to request the information through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Keep in mind that access may be restricted due to privacy laws.
